A 231,000 sq. ft. design-build project on the site of the old Portland Public Works Facility, delivering 171 residential units across 8 stories with a two-story parking garage and future commercial retail spaces. Sargent Electric provided complete electrical installation — a 4,000-amp service and distribution, life safety generator backup, unit wiring, fire alarm systems, and full lighting across all common, amenity, exterior, and parking areas.

Our Northeast location contains a 14,000 sq/ft. facility that is home to both our Utility and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) operations groups. Our office is a 5,000 sq/ft warehouse and tool management area, fleet repair and maintenance garage, as well as an open yard for our major equipment storage and lay down area. With nearly 70 field personnel and 27 team members in office, Sargent provides various levels of support and can provide solutions for Commercial and Industrial, Service, Telecommunications, and Utility construction

Portland, ME
Located on the footprint of the old Portland Public Works Facility, this project is a 231,000 sq./ft., 171 unit, 8 story design build project. Once complete, the project will consist of a two-story parking garage with future commercial retail spaces and six additional floors of residential units. The building includes a 4000-amp, 480/277-volt electrical service and distribution with life safety generator back-up. Unit wiring installations include convenience power, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Sargent Electric intends to prefabricate the 171 units to reduce manpower and improve project delivery. All common, amenity, exterior, and parking garage areas will include convenience power, lighting, fire alarm, and notification systems as part of our overall design for a complete electrical installation solution.
